Transportation and Directions to Vail, Colorado

Vail Village, home of the historic Sitzmark Lodge, is located in Eagle County and the Colorado Rocky Mountains. It is a two hour drive west of Denver and two hours east of Grand Junction, which are the largest metropolitan areas surrounding Vail.

The best options for flying to Vail are the Eagle County Airport (EGE), 1/2 hour west of Vail and Denver International Airport (DEN), two hours east of Vail. Shuttle, taxi, car rental and limousine services are available to Vail from both locations.

From I-70 West

Take exit #176 – Vail. Take the traffic circle from the off-ramp under I-70 and enter the Main Vail Roundabout. Go half way around and exit on Vail Road. Follow Vail Road, continuing straight through a Stop sign (please stop first) and towards Vail Mountain. The road will wind to the left and as you descend a small hill keep right into the village pedestrian zone. Continue straight ahead to the guardhouse – “Checkpoint Charlie”. From I-70 East
